Block Schedule Advantages

  • Classes meet about 2 hours every other day
  • Our block gains more class time by reducing time spent getting settled in and then packing up…
  • Compare a zero period class where students get approximately 5 to 10 minutes to start their work, to that same block class where students get about 20 minutes.
  • More teacher-student interaction time
  • Time to do real life, meaningful activities
  • More time for test-taking
  • Prepare students to sit SAT test, AP test
  • Develop time management skills necessary for success in college
